It’s time Adelaide got the recognition it deserves
Despite featuring in the top 10 on the world’s most liveable cities list for the best part of a decade, Adelaide seems to be consistently overlooked by tourists and Australians alike… but why?
Adelaide has often been portrayed as a lacklustre and quiet city outside of ‘Mad March’, but who’s making these statements? Our guess, is people who have never visited our wonderful city and state.
Adelaide is the ultimate ’20-minute city’, where else in Australia do you have white sand beaches, globally recognised wine regions and spacious country side all within a drive less than half an hour from the CBD?

a multi-billion dollar Defence and Infrastructure spend, large scale redevelopments of the CBD, and a big push for clean energy with a number of solar and wind projects aiming to bring SA to 100% renewables, this is something that no other state is even close to achieving anytime soon. The stunning Adelaide Oval is home to local and international sporting events as well as world class entertainment at a mere stroll from some of the best bars restaurants and nightlife the country has to offer.
Turning to real estate, Adelaide offers a place where people can actually afford to buy their own home. People are quick to jump to Melbourne and Sydney, but the median house prices might just prompt them otherwise. Adelaide’s median house price as of March 2019 is $266,994 cheaper than Melbourne and a huge $485,488 cheaper than Sydney’s median house price.
With such diversity in housing, Adelaide has something for everyone from investors, families and downsizers to hobby farmers, retirees and executives.
