Thomas Crawford in running for national honours

Thomas Crawford has capped off a remarkable year of success by being named a national finalist in two of the real estate industry’s most prestigious awards.

The Toop&Toop Sales Partner is among the final 10 contenders for both the Rising Star and the Sales Agent of the Year – Metropolitan categories in the Real Estate Business (REB) Awards 2021.

Crawford is the only South Australian finalist in the Rising Star award and one of only two in the prized Metropolitan Sales Agent of the Year category.

The Rising Star award recognises the individual within the Australian real estate market that best represents the future of the industry, while the Sales Agent of the Year – Metropolitan category acknowledges the residential sales agent in metropolitan Australia who drives excellent sales volumes and maintains best-practice service at all times by utilising the various tools and resources at hand, while developing new and innovative business strategies to ensure future growth and development.

This most recent recognition comes after Crawford was one of only four SA agents to be included in the Top 50 of the REB Dealmakers 2020 rankings. The list, released in November, recognises Australia’s top-performing agents and is determined using a range metrics including volumes, year-on-year growth and consistency of performance.

“This is another truly wonderful achievement by Thomas,” Toop&Toop Owner/Director of Residential Sales, Bronte Manuel, said.

“He has made a meteoric rise through the ranks and is now clearly among Australia’s premier real estate practitioners. This latest announcement by REB is clear evidence of that.

"To be ranked among the top 10 metropolitan agents in the country is no mean feat.

“Thomas never does things by halves. He’s completely committed to his clients and ensuring they receive a premium service.

“He also has a vast knowledge of property in the western suburbs in particular, and that means he’s able to provide fully informed and accurate advice to both sellers and buyers.

“We’re extremely proud to have Thomas as a part of our team at Toop&Toop.”

Crawford said he was overwhelmed by this latest recognition.

“It’s very humbling to be named as a finalist in these two categories,” Crawford said.

“I’ve worked very hard … but I know I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without the support of my friends, my family and my clients.

“I’d also like to thank the team at Toop&Toop for having faith in me and for all their assistance in recent years.”

REB news editor Grace Ormsby said the high quality of submissions for the REB Awards 2021 was testament to the strength and resilience of the real estate profession.

“It’s been an absolutely huge year for real estate,” Ms Ormsby said.

“All the finalists should be extremely proud of their contribution to the real estate profession, especially over a year as unpredictable and challenging as 2020.”

The REB Awards will be held at Sydney’s The Star on January 28.
