Punyelroo Vineyard & Wetland is located five minutes south of Swan Reach and looks over the start of the famous Big Bend cliffs where the river takes a sweeping northwest turn just downstream of Punyelroo.
This private river sanctuary runs across two titles over 155 Hectares. The high grounds overlooking the wetlands consists of fertile farming land of which 39 hectares (116 acres) is planted to vineyard.
The wetlands along the Murray River are of international consequence and one of the region’s most significant lagoons sits on this amazing property. The expansive waterway spans over 40 Hectares (100 acres) providing an essential breeding and feeding habitat for local wildlife.

Vineyard Details;
Shiraz (26Ha):
The Shiraz is planted on own roots which has a favourable impact on growing large yields (up to 25t/Ha). The vineyard has produced crops in excess of 700 tonnes.
Chardonnay (13Ha)
The Chardonnay is planted on a combination of Ramsey rootstock (7Ha) and own rootstock (6Ha). As per the Shiraz this vineyard can produce an average of 25t/Ha. The section on Ramsey rootstocks yields higher than that of the section on own roots.
